Pelvic Floor
Pelvic floor issues can be unpleasant, even unbearable. They can impact every aspect of your life. It’s common for women to feel shame and suffer alone. If you have seen a physician, he or she may have told you that the next step is surgery. Or perhaps you are dealing with pelvic pain and have tried absolutely every possible technique to relieve it; yet nothing seems to help for long. Maybe your issue is not that complicated, but the conventional treatment you were offered is simply not for you.
I understand how you must feel. In my experience, the body’s ability to heal given the right conditions is greatly underestimated by medical professionals. In many cases, the body can regain abilities and heal on its own; we simply need to know how to assist it. If the treatment you’ve been advised to follow doesn’t feel right to you, I encourage you to keep exploring alternatives. There’s always another way.
If you’re not sure how to continue from here, or what other options are available to you, I want to offer my experience as a holistic pelvic floor practitioner. With no obligation on your end (and no pressure to work with me), let’s discuss things over the phone. I promise to give you my sincere opinion regarding your situation. If I think what you were offered by your physician is the best thing you can do, I’ll tell you that. If there are other things you should try first, I’ll share that with you too. If I can’t help you myself, I’ll recommend where else you could go.
Should we decide to work together, we will investigate what caused your condition in order to understand how to fix it. I will give you the tools to help you help your body regain its balance and become stronger. We both want you to feel better and live better as soon as you possibly can.
I will teach you how to help yourself strengthen or relax your pelvic floor muscles non-invasively while remaining fully clothed.

How I work and what to expect
THE FIRST SESSION
We’ll begin by going over your health questionnaire and you’ll have the opportunity to explain your situation to me in more detail. Then, we will begin to work. We’ll focus on basic exercises that you can begin using on your own. The first session, is 90 minutes.
WHAT WE WILL DO IN THE SESSIONS
The work I do is non-invasive and usually done without physical contact, which makes it possible for us to meet online.
During the sessions you will usually be lying down on your back, if that’s a comfortable position for you. If not, you may do the exercises sitting in a chair. You will also move around, stand and walk during our sessions.
If we meet online, you’ll need a soft exercise mat or a firm mattress to lie on.
We don’t usually use props, but a yoga strap, an exercise ball and a pillow can be useful sometimes if you happen to have them (don’t purchase them if you don’t).
I’ll explain the exercises and you’ll perform them. Each exercise is very gentle and pleasant to do. Our work will always be within your comfort zone. No sweat or strain is involved. You’ll frequently be asked to describe what you’re feeling. At the end of each session you’ll have a list of a few simple exercises you can practice on your own.
WHAT TO WEAR
Your clothes should be comfortable, so that they do not restrict either your breathing or your movement. Try to avoid denim and belts. You may also want to remove glasses and jewelry during the session. You can be bare foot or wear socks.
PRACTICING AT HOME
In addition to our one-on-one sessions, I encourage you to practice what you have learned at home. The more you practice, the more progress you’ll see. If you agree to replace old habits with new habits and accept what your body needs to heal, you’ll see results and enjoy positive change. At the end of the day it really depends on your dedication.
HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE
This depends on several variables.
· The length of time you have had your health issue
· How serious it is
· The underlying cause
· If you have more than one health issue
· The amount of time you commit to the process
Some cases are straightforward and easier to treat. Others may take longer. Although at times I can predict the duration of the treatment in advance, I find it’s best to let the body show us what it needs. It might take time, so please have patience. In any case, please know that I will not ask you to continue having sessions if you no longer need them.

SCHEDULE A FREE ZOOM CONSULTATION
The first step is to fill out this contact form to schedule a free 15-minutes Zoom consultation. I highly value your time, so I’ll tell you right away if I think we would be a good fit to work together.
I prefer that we meet for an initial consultation only if I truly believe I can help you better than anyone else. Should that not be the case, I’ll do my best to recommend a more suitable person to help you.
If we decide to meet, I’ll email you in advance a health questionnaire to fill out online.
